Slainte Concert Poster

Poster design for a live electronica show at Slainté in Portland Maine, featuring Wyerdfux, Animal Colors, and DJ Ghost Pepper. The idea was to create a dream like setting featuring pop-art balloon characters being powered by a bass amp. It tells the viewer that this will be no ordinary event – the music is unconventional in nature, so I felt like the poster should be too.

Strongpaw Logo

Log design for Portland based video production company Strongpaw Productions. Since Strongpaw was named after the owners childhood dog, we wanted the logo to reference dogs, but not in a cliché and predictable way (there’s a ridiculous amount of dog-based logos in existence). The approach was an abstract representation of a paw that would also referenced a video camera’s lens. The RGB color palette was another connection to film, and a narrow clean san-serif fit the design nicely in multiple formats.

Sloppy Santa Label

Label design for a local holiday homebrew, aptly named “Sloppy Santa IPA” (due to it’s 10% alcohol content). I’ve always wanted to design a beer or wine label, so I jumped at the chance to do so. The client gave a brief concept he had in mind and creative freedom, and we ended up with this monotone design that’s both classic and modern. I like to think of this as Santa on Christmas night, celebrating the start of a much needed vacation.

Ron Paul Poster

I love classic campaign buttons and posters, and so this is my take on an iconic presidential candidate portrait and poster, which cribs slightly from the famous Obama ‘HOPE’ poster by Shepard Fairey, this time with a friendlier profile portrait of candidate Ron Paul. This poster is in no way paid for or endorsed by Ron Paul.

@PLAY Logo/Icons

Logo for Acapulco Princess Resort’s @PLAY youth activity program. They needed a playful logo and a series of icons that could work alongside the logo, so I created a turtle for their logo that could also be used as an icon system for their various activities. This created a flexible system for them to swap out as they chose, but the icons also can stand on there own. Each turtle icon represents a different activity offered by the resort.

Orchard Street

Logo and label designs for a jam and jelly company called Orchard Street. The client needed an identity that was adaptable for multiple flavors while maintaining a cohesive feel and bold, eye popping graphics. An icon system was also developed for the labels and logo.

Logo for Stride Rite’s line of Italian designer kids shoes. Was meant to invoke a feeling of playfulness and an active lifestyle for both boys and girls. Done in collaboration with Teresa Otul-Cummings.
